The idea of this website is mainly to publish our light trapping results as soon as possible after the event. As the Moths Plus name suggests we will include other aspects, mainly of an invertebrate nature which we find interesting. Most of the recording will be from V.C.55 (Leicestershire and Rutland) but trips to other counties will be included as and when.
Netted Pug
Surely one of the nicest of the pug species, this one was taken at Watermead Country Park during the 24 hour Bio Blitz event. This represents the first record outside of Rutland, therefore the first record for Leicestershire. So there must be some Bladder Campion around there somewhere, it will be worth checking the seed heads for larvae in a months time. |
