The idea of this website is mainly to publish our light trapping results as soon as possible after the event. As the Moths Plus name suggests we will include other aspects, mainly of an invertebrate nature which we find interesting. Most of the recording will be from V.C.55 (Leicestershire and Rutland) but trips to other counties will be included as and when.



Scythris inspersella

This species was first found in Norfolk in 1977 but not identified until 1980. It has since been found at two sites in Yorkshire. We picked spun terminal shoots from Willowherb from Sherwood in Notts in June. Two inspersella emerged 10th and a single 11th of July. This is possibly the first record for Notts
